As a kid I lways wanted to be an actor. During and after college, I did classical and avant garde theater but I always wanted to work in Film. I met Clint Eastwood at the AFI and asked him how he got into film. He said, you have to write something for yourself. So I wrote, produced and starred in 2 films in Minnesota, while I was still working at the CTC (Children's Theater Company).
My influences in filmmaking are De Sica and Fellini, and of course, Bergman. The American's directors whose work I adminre are John Ford, Martin Scorsese and Warren Beatty. I think all actors and film artists should study the classics.
